Specialisation:

With a finance degree, Cindy specialises in financial and corporate analysis and tax. Given the chance, Cindy will be inclined in forensic accounting. 

Degree/s, Certificate/s:

Cindy graduated overseas with degrees in Bachelor in Management Accounting and Bachelor in Financial Management. After moving to Australia, Cindy studied her Masters in Business Administration with Accounting as a specialised course. 

Community Involvement:

Cindy was a volunteer for Red Cross Australia under the Telecross Program. Under the program, she called isolated elderly people to check on them and make sure they will be okay within the day. In addition to a regular check, the program was designed to uplift the elderly from depression and remind them of their personal obligations like medicine intake and doctor’s appointments. During this time of Cindy was able to talk to people, listen to their stories and learn from them. It made Cindy feel rewarded and challenged to do more for the betterment of the society. 

Profile:

Cindy joined SharemyRoom, an accommodation provider in Sydney, as a receptionist to gain more exposure and as a newbie, to understand the way of life in Sydney. By end of 2018, Cindy was employed by a private vocational education provider where she assisted trainers and staff in providing simulative learning experience, regulated students’ payment plans and academic performance. After leaving the education sector, Cindy was tasked to reconcile job sheets, job reports, mechanic job cards and responsibility log books at Sydney Waste Services. Cindy soon realised she aimed to focus in accounting so while doing a student assistant job at school, Cindy applied for an internship at Interactive Tax Consultant, a tax agent based in Edgecliff where she learned in practice basic accounting and tax functions like bank reconciliations and drafting Business Activity Statements and got introduced to HandiTax and HandiLedger, an accounting and tax software. Before joining Morse Group, Cindy worked as an accounting assistant/receptionist in a tax agent based in Cabramatta where she worked with individual tax returns, drafted Business Activity Statements for uber/taxi drivers, prepared business letters, client registrations with ASIC and ATO, ATO document orders, answered telephone calls, invoicing and receiving client payments.
